In Gogol’s book, we experience life through the perspective of a madman. From the text, I highlighted the protagonist’s thoughts and words that reflect his descent into madness, and arranged them into a disturbing composition for the cover design. Inside the book, additional compositions form the internal illustrations, further echoing the chaotic atmosphere.
